Senior Quantitative User Experience Researcher (Frontend) (Bangkok-based, Relocation provided) – Agoda

Responsibilities
* Conducts research end-to-end for high impact, guiding stakeholders to effective collaboration with research goals
* Initiates research efforts aligned with product vertical goals, informed by business understanding
* Formulates programmes of study and knowledge sharing relevant to team objectives
* Leads cross-stakeholder projects and mentors others in research techniques
* Assesses pros and cons of various research methodologies and ensures high-quality execution
Research Skills
* Evaluate research opportunities, especially ambiguous requests, assessing importance, urgency, and impact
* Manage inbound research requests and propose solid projects or programs
* Execute projects with alternative methods, mixed methods, and innovative approaches
* Deep understanding of quantitative and qualitative research, and how to apply to projects
* Specialize in at least one domain, user type, or method as a go-to expert
* Triangulate findings and theories to ensure reliable insights
* Maximize research value with secondary research and expert review
* Proficient with common research tools and GDPR, data compliance, and ethics
Communication & Collaboration
* Drive cross-discipline collaboration through research insights
* Collaborate with researchers and other disciplines with shared ownership
* Communicate clearly to different audiences and incorporate feedback
* Support standards of research excellence across the organization
Qualifications
* Masters Degree or PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, HCI, Information Science, Psychology, or related field
* 10+ years of relevant experience in consumer-facing domains
* Expert in quantitative research (log analysis, metrics, survey design, sampling, crosstabs, statistics)
* Experience with qualitative methods and user-centered design (interviews, diary studies, think-aloud, usability testing)
* Experience planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing, and communicating research
* Experience evaluating and working with external research vendors
* Ability to describe user problems and business opportunities to stakeholders using data
* Strong critical thinking beyond business requests
* Excellent storytelling and communication in English with product teams, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders
* Enjoys collaborative, data-driven, dynamic environments
