Business Central Pre-Sales Consultant

Storm Technology Ltd – Microsoft Solutions Partner with over 30 years of experience, specialising in digital technology advancement and adoption.


Role Overview

The Business Central Pre‑Sales Consultant supports the sales process by providing expert guidance, technical demonstrations and tailored solutions for prospective clients. The role collaborates closely with the sales team to identify customer needs, propose solutions and articulate the value of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.


Responsibilities

* Create and deliver custom demos and presentations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of Business Central tailored to specific customer requirements.
* Collaborate with the sales team and senior finance executives to understand customer needs and develop appropriate solutions.
* Configure and set up Business Central environments for demonstrations, understanding potential customers’ business processes and requirements.
* Assist in the preparation of proposals, RFP responses and other sales documents, including initial deal sizing and indicative pricing in partnership with practice teams.
* Provide pre‑sales technical support to prospects and customers and participate in sales calls and meetings as a subject‑matter expert.
* Offer strategic advice and insights on how Business Central can solve specific business challenges, including pricing optimisation.
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Business Central and Power Platform features, updates and industry trends, and communicate relevant updates internally and externally.
* Maintain strong relationships with existing partners and actively explore new partnership opportunities to develop new pipeline and growth opportunities.
* Work closely with the sales, consulting and development teams to ensure seamless communication and handover of customer requirements.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to deliver webinars, video content and thought leadership that support lead generation and brand positioning, and prepare and deliver presentations at industry events.
* Contribute to the strategic direction and growth initiatives of the Business Central team, identifying market trends and expansion opportunities.


Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills

* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (Finance qualification an advantage). Microsoft certifications (Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate) are preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a pre‑sales or consulting role focused on ERP solutions, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
* Proficiency in configuring and using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
* Proven track record of successfully delivering ERP product demonstrations and technical presentations.
* Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills – able to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to translate complex technical information into understandable business terms.
* Familiarity with related Microsoft technologies and products (e.g., Power Platform, Office 365).
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high‑quality pre‑sales deliverables.
* Experience engaging with senior professionals and finance executives in client‑facing roles.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and a customer‑centric mindset.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* High level of initiative and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Strong team player who thrives in a team environment with excellent collaboration skills.
