We are currently recruiting for a Senior Social Worker to join our team in our Ennis Resource Centre in Co. Clare. This is a Specified Purpose, Part-Time, 17.5 hours contract available. Starting Salary - €63,803 - pro-rata - DOE Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides community-based rehabilitation services for people living with a brain injury in Ireland. Our mission is to passionately serve and empower people impacted by brain injury through personalised rehabilitation and relentless advocacy. Every day we work with survivors of brain injury in their homes and communities, in our Clubhouses and residences, helping them to work towards achieving their personal goals and maximising their independence. The role of Senior Social Worker is to provide prompt and quality social work service to clients of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland along with their families and carers. Working as part of an inter-disciplinary team, the successful candidate will be expected to have a person-centred approach when supporting clients, families and carers impacted by an acquired brain injury. Role Duties: Comprehensive social work assessment of family adjustment and client/family practical and emotional needs Identify and facilitate areas for social work interventions Accountable for the effective supervision and performance management of any assigned basic grade staff Liaise, develop and maintain good working relationships with a wide variety of agencies To provide support to frontline service provision teams To attend on behalf of ABI Ireland, relevant external conferences To keep up to date with social work practices, government publications and any other documents relevant to social work practices in ABI Ireland Maintain agreed statistical records For a more detailed list, please view the attached job description or contact Essential Criteria: C.Q.S.W/N.Q.S.W or equivalent Registered with CORU Excellent Communication skills, verbal, written, report writing and presentation Previous experience of leading, managing and developing staff An ability to manage conflict and problem solving Excellent time management skills with a focus on customer service Able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical and successful decision making and a hands-on approach Experience: A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, of which 2 years should include working in the area of disability Previous experience of working in an area of neuro-rehabilitation with the provision of community and residential services within a biopsychosocial model would be a distinct advantage Previous experience of working with autism and/or physical and sensory disabilities would be an advantage Role Benefits: Salary starting from €63,803- DOE Competitive Annual Leave entitlements Access to ABII's defined contribution pension scheme (applicable for eligible employees with service requirements) Flexible working and Work Life Balance Initiatives in place Free life cover benefit (2 times gross salary tax free) Revenue approved mileage rates Employee Assistance Programme Bike to Work Scheme Long Service Awards Paid Maternity Leave Career development opportunities Comprehensive induction and training programme including specialist brain injury training Access to Health Care Staff Credit Union If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
