Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our multidisciplinary team in the Urology department.
The successful candidate will provide expert nursing care to patients referred for assessment and management, utilizing their skills in communication, leadership, teaching, education, research, and counseling. They will be expected to work collaboratively with a consultant-led team to coordinate patient care, lead on education initiatives, and promote evidence-based practice within the specialty.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver specialist nursing care to patients referred to the Urology service
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
* Lead on education initiatives and promote evidence-based practice
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
* A minimum of 1 year's post-registration full-time experience in the division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Register for which the application is being made
* A minimum of 1 year's experience in the specialist area of urological care
* A Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 9 or higher award relevant to the specialist area of care
* Demonstrable continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the specialist area

Applicants should possess excellent keyboard skills, experience in teaching and assessing junior staff/nursing students, and experience in carrying out audits. Additionally, they should be able to demonstrate I.T. skills and knowledge of healthcare patient record systems.
