The Ravenport Resort Curracloe is now seeking an experienced Executive Head Chef with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will inspire creativity and innovation and lead their team confidently. This accomplished culinary leader will be responsible for creating and implementing the dining experiences throughout the hotel.

The successful candidate will enjoy excellent remuneration and scope to develop their career with a hospitality market leader.

Who we are: The Ravenport Resort will stand alongside Neville Hotels' other properties, including the 4* Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin, the 5* Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort in Wicklow, the 4* Kilkenny River Court Hotel, and the 4* Tower Hotel & Leisure Centre in Waterford City, as well as Whites Of Wexford.

Responsibilities:

* Leading and inspiring the kitchen team, overseeing all aspects of kitchen operation and performance.
* Introducing new culinary techniques, guiding the team in meal preparation, creation, plating, and delivery.
* Responsible for food GP achievement and ensuring menus meet desired GP levels.
* Managing stock reception, checking invoices, and stock rotation.
* Innovating with new product ideas, promoting local ingredients and suppliers.
* Providing a safe environment for customers, staff, and visitors.
* Ensuring machinery is operated safely, maintained, and kept clean.
* Maintaining hygiene standards in food preparation per company policy and statutory requirements.
* Cleaning and maintaining food prep areas and equipment.
* Handling and storing cleaning materials safely.
* Carrying out food preparation with attention to Critical Control Points.
* Conducting temperature checks on refrigeration units and recording results.
* Addressing food quality issues promptly.
* Ordering all fresh produce and dry goods.
* Storing food safely at correct temperatures according to legislation.
* Maintaining storage areas' temperature, ventilation, and cleanliness.
* Storing food items under appropriate conditions.
* Handling and storing knives safely.
* Building effective relationships with colleagues and management.
