JOB TITLE: Accountant
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
SCOPE OF POSITION: An accountant is a part-time contractor role within the Accordus team. This team member fills critical accounting functions for Accordus clients, including both for-profit and non-profit accounting services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Reconciling the client bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
* Managing income and expenditure accounts
* Generating the company's financial reports using income and expenditure data
* Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
* Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
* Working with QuickBooks Online (prior experience preferred)
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 5+ years of accounting experience
* Experience with non-profit accounting preferred
* CPA preferred
* Bachelors (or equivalent in accounting or related field)
* Experience with QuickBooks Online
* Attention to detail
* Strong time management skills
* Ability to work independently
