This organisation has built a strong reputation for delivering high-value engineering projects across sectors such as data centres, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals and advanced manufacturing. With a significant pipeline of work across Ireland, they are now looking to appoint a Regional EHS Manager to lead Environmental, Health & Safety operations across projects in the Connacht region.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced EHS professional to drive safety performance, influence project teams and ensure best‑in‑class safety standards across multiple high‑profile projects.
With the support of the wider team, your responsibilities will include:
Provide strategic leadership and direction for EHS operations across multiple projects and business units.
Lead, mentor and develop a team of EHS Leads, Advisors and site safety professionals.
Champion a strong safety culture and Zero Harm philosophy across all project teams.
Ensure full compliance with regulatory frameworks, company policies and client safety requirements.
Lead and coordinate EHS audits, inspections and compliance assessments across project sites.
Oversee incident reporting and investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented.
Monitor project risk management strategies, driving proactive hazard identification and mitigation.
Ensure effective development and implementation of EHS plans, site inductions and RAMS documentation.
Review and analyse EHS KPIs, safety trends and performance metrics to support data‑driven improvements.
Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, regulators and supply chain partners.
Lead training programmes, safety briefings and competency development initiatives across project teams.
Ensure robust emergency preparedness procedures and site safety protocols are in place and regularly reviewed.
The ideal profile is someone with:
A degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering or a related discipline. Professional accreditations such as NEBOSH are preferred.
Proven experience in a senior EHS leadership role within construction, engineering, energy or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, compliance standards and industry best practices.
Experience managing multi‑project safety programmes and leading EHS teams.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong analytical ability to assess risk, safety performance and operational improvements.
Passion for developing high‑performing safety cultures within complex project environments.
