Our Client are one of Ireland's leading providers of Construction Services based in Offaly are currently looking to hire a Field Based Mechanical Fitter.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and certification of plant and machinery, both in the workshop and on client sites. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, good communication skills, and a flexible approach to travel and working hours.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Perform corrective, planned, and preventive maintenance tasks, including welding, fabrication, alignments, and troubleshooting.
2. Carry out inspections and prepare machinery for GA1 certification.
3. Ensure a “Right first-time” approach to all tasks, maintaining high-quality standards.
4. Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to safe work systems.
5. Monitor equipment performance and maintain production levels, considering quality, safety, and engineering standards.
6. Complete and close out work orders in a timely manner.
Job Requirements:
1. A Mechanical Fitting or Mechanical Automation Level 6 qualification.
2. Minimum of 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a fixed-plant environment, preferably within heavy engineering.
3. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
4. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
