Staff Grade Clinical Psychologist (CAMHS)

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). As a Staff Grade Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in delivering psychological services to children and adolescents with moderate to severe mental health needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive psychological assessments, developing and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and working collaboratively with families, schools, and healthcare professionals to foster positive mental health outcomes for young people in the community. You will have the opportunity to grow your clinical expertise, contribute to service development, and become part of a passionate team that values innovation, collaboration, and child-centred care.

The CAMHS team provides integrated, multidisciplinary care to young people navigating emotional, behavioural, or developmental challenges. You will work closely with Psychiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses, Family Therapists, and Admin staff to deliver tailored support to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Key responsibilities include:

* Conducting psychological assessments using standardised tools and clinical interviews to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
">
* Developing and implementing individualised, evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents with mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, ADHD, and ASD
">
* Collaborating with colleagues to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary care and contributing to service development
">
* Maintaining up-to-date, confidential clinical records in line with HSE policy and PSI guidelines
">
* Participating in regular clinical supervision, peer review, and CPD opportunities

Eligibility criteria include:

">
* A Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychology and/or Chartered Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist through PSI
">
* Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland
">
* Experience working with children and adolescents in mental health or similar clinical settings
">
* Demonstrated ability to apply psychological theory and evidence-based practice in a CAMHS or related context
">
* Strong skills in clinical assessment, formulation, and intervention planning
">
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
">
