The HV Stations Designer is responsible for providing technical support in the design and construction of high voltage substations. The successful applicant will be appointed to a role that involves facilitating the delivery of capital and maintenance projects and programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Planning, scoping, and costing of projects in high voltage substations
* Preparation of preliminary health and safety documentation and design risk assessments
* Preparation of detailed electrical designs, including layouts, schematics, and wiring schedules
* Compliance with safety legislation and acting as PSDP contact on projects on behalf of the PSDP
* Liaising and coordinating with designers in other disciplines
* Liaising with external contractors and design teams while maintaining commercial focus
* Providing technical support throughout the HV substation lifecycle

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years electrical experience or equivalent design work experience. They will also have proficiency and adaptability in a CAD/CAE system such as MicroStation or AutoCAD, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and a track record in implementing standards, policies, and quality systems to ensure optimum designs.
