Our client is seeking a Building Services Design Engineer to play a key role in the design, optimization and delivery of high-performance mechanical building services systems.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have strong technical understanding of HVAC engineering, including airflow, ventilation principles, cooling/heating loads, psychrometrics and system controls. They should be proficient in producing calculations, system sizing and performance assessments using industry-standard design software.
Key responsibilities include developing detailed mechanical building services designs, preparing coordinated technical drawings, schedules and specifications, and assisting in the development of energy-efficient and sustainable design strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical or building services design within a consultancy, contractor or design-build environment (essential).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
* Proficiency with digital tools including Excel, design software and project coordination applications.
* Degree or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
