DESCRIPTION

The AWS Infrastructure Energy Team is seeking talented individuals to facilitate high-impact carbon free energy initiatives across AWS's global footprint. The candidates will help AWS manage technical analyses and strategic programs that underpin Amazon's decarbonization goals. This position will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to progress initiatives that re-shape our business's operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and organizational skillsets with a passion for producing high-quality work. This position involves direct contact with experienced energy leaders, cross functional program managers, senior leaders and business partners. A successful candidate will have some knowledge of energy markets, renewable energy assets and decarbonization frameworks. Strong communication skills are a must.
Key job responsibilities
1. Manage Power Solution and Carbon Free focused workstreams within AWS's global decarbonization programs.
2. Develop new analytics and visualizations that increase stakeholder engagement and improve decision making process.
3. Support the commercial evaluation of proposals received and make recommendations.
4. Regularly write/present synthesized information to key partners and stakeholders to ensure informed decisions are made at an entrepreneurial speed of business.
5. Responsible for team reporting and tracking performance metrics.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in relevant field (Business / Energy/Engineering)
2. 1-3 years experience in one or more of: energy markets, energy regulation, energy projects, commercial evaluation.
3. Demonstrated experience leveraging strong organization and communication skills.
4. Demonstrated experience building strong working relationships.
5. Demonstrated ability to self-start and self-motivate in a dynamic environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. 3+ years of experience managing workstreams
2. The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
3. Knowledge of energy markets or energy infrastructure.
