Procurement Buyer - Packaging Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Buyer to join our team.
About the Role:
* Develop and implement procurement category strategies that deliver cost savings and maximise value delivery.
* Evaluate spend data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for consolidation across the business.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and manage annual budgets and provide accurate reporting to senior management.
* Lead tendering processes, from requirement definition to negotiation and contract award.
* Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal commercial outcomes.
* Support stakeholders through contracting processes, coordinating with internal teams to finalise agreements.
* Oversee requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
* Partner with key suppliers to monitor market trends and enhance value delivery.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with indirect suppliers to strengthen long-term partnerships.
* Deliver high-quality procurement support and service to stakeholders in line with agreed Service Level Agreements.
* Enhance procurement processes, including reporting, risk management, and supplier performance frameworks.
* Monitor supplier pricing against negotiated terms and address any variances.
* Contribute to cross-functional procurement projects and wider business initiatives as required.
Requirements:
* Proven experience managing and negotiating high-value procurement contracts (minimum 2 years).
* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, up to executive level.
* A strategic thinker who can challenge existing processes and drive improvements.
* Proficiency in finance systems (Oracle iProc an advantage).
* Advanced Excel skills with a strong analytical ability.
