Network Manager – UCD IT Services (Permanent)
Applications are invited for a permanent post of Network Manager within UCD IT Services. UCD IT Services is responsible for the design, development, implementation, management and support of a wide range of IT solutions and services to support staff, students and researchers in their work for the University.
The successful appointee will work in our Infrastructure Group and will be responsible for designing, sourcing, and managing the implementation of high-performance network solutions, as well as managing the daily operational facets of the UCD IT network. UCD has one of the largest LANs in Ireland and has seven separate network locations across Dublin, consisting primarily of Cisco equipment with over 1200 switches and 2300 wireless routers, all supported by state-of-the-art Data Centre Network Solutions, such as Cisco Core Routers, Wireless Controllers, Load Balancers, VPN’s, VoIP and various security systems.
Salary: €71,317 – €83,337 per annum. Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
