Position Description:
Low Voltage Engineering Manager
The LV Engineering Manager will work within the Engineering Team, reporting to the Global Head of Engineering, and will be responsible for leading the delivery of all commercial LV distribution projects and design globally.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage team workload and project assignments daily.
2. Provide capacity planning and technical support from tender to final testing and commissioning.
3. Report project progress timely via company platforms.
4. Track and analyze engineering escapes, and implement corrective actions.
5. Oversee design of power distribution systems, control panels, and energy monitoring systems.
6. Lead design, development, debugging, and testing of electrical circuits using current tools and software.
7. Ensure designs meet specifications, standards, and regulations.
8. Handle technical client queries and participate in project meetings.
9. Assist in electrical design approvals for projects.
10. Contribute to product and process improvements using Lean principles.
11. Identify and address process deficiencies.
12. Support site services for on-site issues.
13. Contribute to project submittals' technical aspects.
14. Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams.
15. Manage the BIM function and deliver all BIM projects globally.
16. Assist in training new employees.
17. Develop KPIs for team members and conduct performance reviews.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, preferably MSc.
2. At least 10 years' experience in Low Voltage Switchgear Industry.
3. Experience in control panel and power distribution design.
4. Proficiency with SolidWorks Electrical or similar software.
5. Experience managing Low Voltage Design teams.
6. Strong communication and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
8. Experience with Lean design principles.
9. Driving license and access to a vehicle.
10. Willingness to travel occasionally.
11. Leadership and team collaboration skills.
12. Excellent planning, organizational, and reporting skills.
13. High commitment to quality standards.
14. Relationship management skills.
15. Enthusiasm, agility, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
