Chief Executive Officer
The role of Chief Executive Officer is a new position and will lead the operations of the Laois Arts Theatre Company.
CONTRACT: Four-year, fixed-term contract, following completion of a 6-month probationary period, that may be extended, subject to continued funding.
SALARY: €70,000 plus a €5,000 performance-related bonus.
LOCATION: Dunamaise Centre, Portlaoise, County Laois.
BACKGROUND
The Laois Arts Theatre Company CLG, established in 1998, is a registered charity that oversees and manages the operation of the Dunamaise Arts Centre, Portlaoise. From 2025, the organisation is also responsible for the operation of the Fort Protector Outdoor Performance Venue on behalf of Laois County Council.
THE ROLE
The role of Chief Executive Officer is a new position and will lead the operations of the Laois Arts Theatre Company (incorporating the Dunamaise Arts Centre and the Fort Protector Outdoor Performance and Event Space), overseeing artistic, strategic, and operational activities, and ensuring that both centres remain vibrant, dynamic, and financially sustainable.
The CEO will be responsible for the development and implementation of the centre's artistic and strategic vision, building on its rich history while fostering innovation and community engagement. This role requires an exceptional leader with a passion for the arts, strong management skills, and a proven ability to deliver on organisational objectives.
