Environmental Impact Specialist Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Impact Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will lead the full EIA process, delivering EIAR and AA/NIS for large-scale renewable energy projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing environmental planning expertise to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and policy
* Staying up-to-date on environmental legislation and planning developments at local and national level
* SUPPORTING stakeholder engagement and consultations with local communities, statutory and non-statutory bodies
* Preparing technical scopes for third-party services and assisting with procurement processes
* Championing health, safety, and environmental best practices across all projects
* Mentoring junior staff and contributing to continuous professional development within the team
* Collaborating with colleagues across Planning, Engineering and Senior Management to meet strategic business goals
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications:
* Level 8 Honours Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline
Experience:
* 5 years' plus relevant experience
You will also need to have a strong understanding of Irish planning law and environmental regulations, as well as excellent communication skills and experience in dealing with internal (company teams and management) and external parties (industries, communities and regulatory agencies).
