About the Role:
As Dispatch Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing the dispatch process, ensuring products meet strict quality standards before leaving the site, and leading a dedicated team to meet delivery and performance targets. You’ll play a vital role in the final stage of the production process – where precision, pace, and attention to detail are key.
What We Offer:
* Full-Time Permanent Position
* Location: Galway
* Salary: €40’000-€45’000
* Working Schedule: Night Shift
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the dispatch area to ensure products are packed and prepared for delivery according to schedule.
* Monitor and verify product checks, labelling, and metal detection processes are carried out correctly.
* Ensure product packaging meets all quality, safety, and presentation standards.
* Conduct spot checks on Best Before dates, wrapping, tray loading, and basket completeness.
* Maintain accurate records of product evaluation, weight checks, and temperature logs.
* Liaise with Quality teams to report faults, take corrective action, and ensure compliance with procedures.
* Lead and supervise the dispatch team to maintain efficient workflow and high productivity levels.
* Allocate tasks clearly, communicate expectations, and provide ongoing support to team members.
* Set clear shift targets and performance goals.
* Promote a positive, motivated team environment with open communication and mutual respect.
* Uphold hygiene, health, and safety standards across the dispatch area.
* Ensure compliance with all legal and company policies relating to transport and food safety.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency.
* Address team performance and conduct issues in a fair, timely, and professional manner.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in a dispatch, logistics, or supervisory role within a production or manufacturing environment.
* Excellent leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills and a good level of English (spoken and written).
* Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* A practical, hands-on approach with a commitment to quality and teamwork.
