Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Project Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation of MEICA project installations, reviewing, advising and supervising these works on behalf of our client.
About the Role:
* Specialise in Mechanical & Electrical elements of the works.
* Driving delivery of projects onsite, with a particular focus on health & safety, time for delivery, cost management and ensuring that the project is constructed to the specified quality standard.
* Ensuring that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract documents (works requirements).
* Ensuring that all materials incorporated into the permanent work, and all workmanship is executed in accordance with the applicable specification, as set out in the works requirements, and that required testing is carried out.
* Monitoring and reporting on works being carried out to the Employer's Requirements.
* Ensuring that the Employer's Representative, the relevant Project Manager and Uisce Éireann are fully informed of all issues arising on site.
* Implementing Uisce Éireann's safety policies and standards on the construction projects.
* Reviewing and commenting on project/site specific HSQE documentation, e.g. RAMS, TMP etc.
* Monitoring compliance with Contract Health and Safety requirements and Contractor's proposals.
* Carry out weekly documented health and safety site reviews, follow up and confirm satisfactory close-out of health and safety issues.
* Ensuring that any accident or incident on site, no matter how minor, is reported to Uisce Éireann, and actively assist with the accident investigation and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
About You:
* At least 7 years' Postgraduate experience, with 4 years' industry experience in site supervision, contract administration and project management of MEICA works on water engineering projects.
* A Degree in a related discipline, such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Knowledge of civil engineering works, Mechanical & Electrical Works, design build operate projects and project management.
* Capable of writing clear and concise reports and keeping works records.
* Strong knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
* Satisfactory knowledge of construction contracts, experience in FIDIC and Public Works forms of contract would be advantageous, but not essential.
* A current and valid SafePass card and Confined Spaces training.
You will also have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work within a team at all times.
