Overview
The Maintenance Crew at BrookLodge & Macreddin Village plays a key role in ensuring that all hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas are operating efficiently and are maintained to the highest standards. This hands-on role requires a proactive, skilled, and safety-conscious individual who can troubleshoot and carry out a wide range of repairs while supporting the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of hotel facilities, guest rooms, and common areas.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
* Carry out basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
* Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working order.
* Monitor and manage building systems such as heating, lighting, and water supply.
* Assist with setup and breakdown for events or functions as required.
* Work collaboratively with the housekeeping, front desk, and food & beverage teams to support guest needs.
* Maintain cleanliness and safety in all maintenance work areas.
* Follow health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with hotel standards and local regulations.
* Report any major maintenance issues or equipment faults to the Maintenance Manager.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a maintenance or facilities-related role, preferably in a hospitality environment.
* Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and equipment.
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
* Good communication and problem-solving skills.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
* A proactive and team-oriented attitude.
* Trade qualification or technical training.
* Valid driver's license is an advantage.
