We are looking for a Warehouse Skilled Operative to join our team and support the Stores and Warehouse department. You will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
This role is ideal for someone with previous warehouse experience, looking to develop further in a hands-on operational role. You will play a key part in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, taking ownership of tasks such as goods handling, stock management, and supporting production and distribution processes.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensure all quality, hygiene, health & safety, and manual handling procedures are consistently followed.
* Operate in line with warehouse standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
* Handle goods inward, including unloading deliveries, checking quality, and allocating items to the correct storage locations.
* Manage goods outward processes, picking orders accurately, and loading vehicles efficiently.
* Maintain stock accuracy through regular cycle counts, stock takes, and system updates.
* Order and manage warehouse consumables, including pallets, boxes, and other packaging materials.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the warehouse and loading areas.
* Support resin handling operations safely, including loading/unloading and recording as required.
* Allocate materials (e.g., masterbatch, boxes, tape, liners) to production areas efficiently.
* Prepare finished goods pallets, including wrapping, labelling, scanning, and placing in designated holding areas.
* Allocate pallets for printing, wrapping, and storing finished goods as needed.
* Support the issue and transfer of pallets for checking, sorting, or production.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse systems and workflows.
* Be flexible to provide cover for customer demands, holidays, or sickness between 5am and 9pm.
* Primary working hours: 11am to 7pm, Monday to Friday.
About You
* Dynamic with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach.
* Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks efficiently.
* Must hold a valid forklift license.
* Flexible to provide occasional weekend overtime if needed.
* Must hold a valid Driving Licence (category B or C).
* Computer literate and able to work with warehouse and production systems.
