Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Bantry, Co. Cork (with occasional travel to a second site in Cork City)
Salary: Negotiable (Relocation & accommodation assistance available)
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a leading food manufacturing business. This role offers excellent career progression opportunities for the right candidate and the chance to work in a fast-paced, modern production environment.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks across equipment and systems.
* Work with both electrical and mechanical automation systems.
* Support the safe and efficient operation of plant maintenance systems.
* Respond to and resolve routine mechanical maintenance and breakdowns.
* Maintain controls, sensors, pneumatics, and electrical systems in a high-volume production facility.
* Assist in the development and implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance routines.
* Install and commission new equipment as required.
* Contribute to the training and support of apprentices.
Qualifications
* Experience maintaining manufacturing systems or equipment within a processing or production plant.
* Qualification and/or strong working knowledge in Electrical and/or Mechanical disciplines.
* Proficiency in basic computer use and report writing.
* Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
* Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
