Senior Software Engineer - Java (11‑Month Contract, Dublin - Hybrid)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong Java expertise to join our team on an 11‑month contract based in Dublin, offering hybrid working for flexibility.
About the Role
You will play a key role in designing and developing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud‑based microservices and APIs that power critical financial and digital asset platforms. This is a hands‑on role where you will write code, collaborate with architects and product managers, and deliver high‑quality solutions in an Agile environment.
What You'll Do
* Develop enterprise‑level applications using Java/J2EE and Spring frameworks (MVC, Boot, Security).
* Build frameworks for transactional and data processing applications.
* Implement REST API clients and services, integrate with SQL databases.
* Write automated unit and integration tests, manage CI/CD pipelines.
* Contribute to microservices architecture and containerised deployments on cloud platforms.
What We're Looking For
* Expertise in Java technologies and frameworks like Spring Boot.
* Strong knowledge of SQL databases and ability to write complex queries.
* Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
* Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and version control systems like Git.
* Understanding of microservices architecture, REST/JSON, and resilient messaging services (SNS, SQS).
* Agile development experience (SCRUM, TDD, DevOps practices).
