Business Development Lead
Our organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Lead to spearhead new business opportunities in the UK, focused on establishing a leading ecosystem for life-transforming therapies.
This senior leadership position will report directly to the Chief Business Officer and play a pivotal role in shaping business development strategies, particularly in manufacturing and supply chain projects within the cell and gene therapy or biologics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead business development efforts to foster and manage relationships with key collaborators both locally and internationally.
* Develop and execute strategies for manufacturing and supply chain innovation, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives.
* Source, develop, and maintain critical collaborator relationships, working collaboratively with internal teams to drive business growth.
* Provide ongoing market feedback and insights to senior leadership, contributing to the evolution of business development and operational strategies.
* Perform any other duties required to support the successful execution of our mission.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a business development role within the cell and gene therapy or biologics industry, with a focus on manufacturing.
* Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
* Highly motivated, pragmatic, and practical individual with a commitment to supporting the development of a commercial cell and gene therapy-based industry.
* Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, with a focus on achieving results in complex business environments.
* Willingness to travel, with approximately 50% of time spent working at different facilities and locations.
* Honors degree in a relevant biological or commercial discipline.
