Converted from a 17th-century farm building, Ballymaloe Grainstore has hosted a wide range of events and prominent guests since its completion in 2010.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Events & Operations Manager located in East Cork.
The Events & Operations Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of events at Ballymaloe Grainstore and Farm. No two days will be the same.
Tasks include m
anaging the day-to-day activities,
event logistics, liaising with clients, ensuring the smooth operation of events, and maintaining the overall quality and organisation of the venue.
Additionally, the role involves overseeing staff, handling client inquiries, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
* The ideal candidate will have a love for event planning and enjoy the creative process involved.
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve issues in a kind and considerate manner.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
* Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field is preferred but not necessary
* Previous experience in the hospitality or events industry is a plus
