A day in the life of…
As our passionate Lead Cook, you will oversee all kitchen operations, focusing on quality and presentation, and maximizing opportunities to meet profit and cost margins in line with budgets.
You will ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards, complying with health and safety regulations. Your knowledge of allergens will be crucial, as you will train and educate your staff on allergen awareness.
Additionally, you will manage and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen staff while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. You will play a vital role in upholding the hotel's reputation and ensuring guest safety and satisfaction.
What do we need from you?
* Strong culinary skills, including menu planning, recipe creation, and food presentation. High HACCP standards and Food Safety Level 2 or 3 qualifications are preferred.
* Strong leadership and management skills to recruit, manage, and motivate your team effectively.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills to liaise with hotel departments and manage budgets.
* In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
* Ability to adapt to changing customer preferences and dietary requirements, with creativity in menu design and presentation.
