This temporary role joins the wider Finance team at Apple. With over 300 employees from a multitude of backgrounds, the Finance department in Cork supports all functions of Apple in EMEIA, including Sales Fulfillment, Logistics, Manufacturing and Operations, Apple Music, Apple Retail as well as part of the Global Business Solutions (GBS) function.
This is a key role in a dynamic environment. This role is to our SCS (Supple Chain Support) team that supports global commodity & finished good procurement and related accounting. We are a team of 31 people within GBS who support a mix of P2P, AR and reporting functions for this business area, with daily interaction with our global colleagues.
Description
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
The successful candidate will become part of the wider GBS team with global interactions with supply chain customers and suppliers.
* Managing vendor relationships for a subset of high volume and high value vendors within our supply chain across components and/or finished goods.
* Develop positive relationships both internally with business operation teams and externally with vendor counterparts to ensure issues that arise are dealt with in an open and timely fashion, ensuring no impacts to our supply chain execution.
* Understanding of invoice induction processes and working with local or global partners to manage fallout with a view to maintaining high levels of invoice Straight Through Processing (STP)
* Execution of AdHoc and sometimes manual AP related adjustments that may arise periodically
* Understanding of compliance environment as it relates to Invoice processing e.g self billing to ensure Apple’s AP process is performed in a compliant fashion
* Validation and execution of Return Material Authorisations (RMA’s) and Price Adjustments as needed to ensure Apple’s financial assets are protected and controlled.
* Mange vendor reconciliations as needed to ensure accuracy of our financial reporting
* Support your manager and the wider SCS organisation with ad-hoc projects and reporting as the need arises.
* Such tasks should be approached in a methodical manner and attention to detail is essential.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and adapt to changes in priorities at any given time.
Minimum Qualifications
* Relevant education and experience is required
* Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret data.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
