Financial Controller - Manufacturing Permanent - Offaly The Financial Controller is Is responsible for overall management, direction and co-ordination of the plant finance functions to optimise the accounting, treasury management and company secretarial to acceptable quality commensurate with costs and customer requirements.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and Plant Manager.
MAIN DUTIES 1.
Develop and maintain effective programmes so departmental KPIs are achieved.
This includes: Agreeing department KPIs with Group Financial Controller Ensure adequate measurement systems are in place so that department KPIs can be monitored and reported accurately on a timely basis to the management team.
Setting of realistic objectives and standards and monitor performance against these standards.
Taking the necessary action to ensure that these standards are achieved.
2.
Initiate/implement projects and improvement enhancement programmes in relation to: Capital budget Accounts finalized at month end.
Cash flow projections are in place.
Debtor collection is within company guidelines.
Implementation of the WCM programmes.

Liaison with other departments to ensure that all services are available for Finance and where there are problems those other departments are notified so that appropriate action is taken to minimize the disruption to our customers.

Communicate, motivate and develop subordinates through regular performance reviews including annual reviews, involvement in target setting and through routine exchanges in free and accurate information.
5.
Ensure that department budgets are established and reported on monthly.
6.
Ensure that all Finance operating and training procedures/manuals are adequately documented/maintained and updated on a regular basis.
Ensure that these and the quality assurance procedures are fully adhered to.
7.
Ensure that all company assets in Finance areas are maintained to the highest standard and are used for company business only.
8.
Responsible for the integrity of the accounts and to ensure that the accounting function operates at all times in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and board policy.
9.
Provide analytical, interpretive, investigative and advisory services on business and commercial impact.
10.
Is responsible for: Establishing annual budgets, monthly accounts, and forecasts, in line with business requirements.
Ensuring that the specific ledgers, records and books of accounts such as payroll records, accounts payable and proper expense distribution are maintained to satisfy company and governmental requirements and are consistent with accepted good accounting practices.
The necessary systems and procedures are available to control the disbursement of funds.
Make payments and collect receivables in National and International markets at least cost.
Assisting and Review project requests for all capital expenditure.
Administering salary, wage and benefit programmes.
Liaison with Auditors and ensure that no major write-ups are received.
Ensuring that the company PAYE returns are correct, on schedule and implement the Companys Taxation policy.
Maintain a good working relationship with IDA, EI and FAS assuring timely recovery of Grant Claims.
Ensure that company accounts and financial affairs are in conformity to the Company Act Legislation including the filling of statutory returns.
The Company Secretarial returns and Share Register are maintained and forward to relevant Government Agency.
Consultations with outside Solicitors to ensure the company operates within its statutory capabilities, both at a National and European level.
11.
Carry out/manage any other projects or tasks as requested by the Group Financial Controller or Plant Manager from time to time.
