Cork, we import premium ingredients from leading global producers and blend our own products locally.We supply major retailers, commercial bakeries, cafés, dessert producers and artisan bakeries with a growing customer base across the island of Ireland. As the business continues to expand, we are now seeking an experienced purchasing and stock control specialist to take ownership of purchasing performance, inventory accuracy and supply continuity at our Millstreet operations.Overview:This is a key role within the business, working closely with sales, operations, supply chain, and warehouse teams to ensure product availability, cost control, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in procurement, stock control, supply chain or a related field. Strong analytical and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment are essential.Responsibilities of the role:• Owning the purchasing and stock control process, ensuring materials are ordered, received and managed in line with demand and agreed stock targets.• Analysing sales, usage and forecast data to proactively prevent stock-outs or excess inventory.• Manage supplier relationships, tracking shipments, resolving non-conformances and driving corrective actions where required.• Work collaboratively with Sales & Operations stakeholders to proactively avoid stock-outs.• Protecting business performance through cost-conscious purchasing and efficient inventory management.• Ensure all relevant purchasing & stock control SOPs are strictly adhered to effectively and efficiently in accordance with company procedure and policy.• Act as a central point of contact for purchasing and stock-related issues within the business.• Maintain accurate inventory systems, reporting and insights to support continuous improvement initiatives.• Liaise with our warehouse management team to ensure all stock-taking activities are conducted with minimum impact on our operational efficiency.Required Skills and Qualifications:• 3 years of experience in purchasing, stock control, supply chain or a related discipline• Attention to Detail: Essential for maintaining accurate inventory records and quality control.• Organisational Skills: Important for managing large quantities of stock and ensuring efficient operations.• Problem-Solving Abilities: Needed to address supply chain disruptions and inventory discrepancy root cause analysis.• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management software and electronic ordering systems, as well as advanced Excel.• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to interact collaboratively with vendors, clients, and internal teams effectively.Why join Clover Hill?• A growing, Irish-owned business with clear ambition and momentum,• Competitive salary,• Company pension plan,• Free on-site parking,• Supportive, practical working environment with strong team culture.Interested?If you are interested in joining a growing, dynamic team focused on food, ingredients, or bakery, we would love to hear from you.Apply and send your CV to Carmel Lehane,
