Job Description
This is an exciting and newly created position for a Bid Manager. You will provide guidance and leadership to a team of professionals, ensuring accurate and timely estimations while adhering to company policies and client requirements.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in Estimating / Bid / order negotiation within Construction, with excellent understanding and application of costs, markups, and margins.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop professional excellence in the estimating function in support of Sales and Hire, accurately and on time, and in line with company policies and client requirements.
* The Bid Manager is responsible for managing the cost estimation process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all estimates. This role involves coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders and leading a team of estimators.
* Implement quality control procedures to ensure that all bid submissions are of the highest standard.
* Provide a full and professional estimating service to support Commercial leads in defining Scope of Modular Hire Projects. Understand and lead cost and margin calculations, maintaining a commercial thought process about where prices need to be in order to win.
* Evaluate contractor and supplier bids and deliver category awards.
* Lead or contribute to value engineering exercises to optimise project costs without compromising quality or performance.
* Support the procurement process by preparing cost estimates, derogations lists, and leading Contract Analysis.
Requirements
