What’s the role?
The Chief Operating Officer ("COO") has overall responsibility for the product and technology functions of Bloomberg’s ratings provider business (“ERP”) in Dublin. The COO, along with the CEO, is responsible for formulating and implementing business strategy, key business decisions and the general direction of the business. The COO coordinates, owns, develops and drives operational execution and strategy for the business.
We’ll trust you to
Monitor performance of specific teams and overall firm performance
Overall responsibility, along with the CEO, for ERP’s business in Dublin, including product development life cycle, sales strategy, and resource needs
Overall responsibility, along with the CEO, for ERP’s technology function
Control responsibility apportionment among ERP personnel
Oversee controls including data governance and regulatory compliance
Oversee all arrangements with third-party service providers
Operationalize stakeholder engagement processes for notification obligations
Report relevant information from ERP's Management Board to staff as appropriate
Review and approval of ESG ratings issuance before distribution
Promote and enforce professional and regulatory governance standards
Ensure multiple functions by staff do not create conflicts of interest
Cultivate and maintain key business relationships with other firms, suppliers and advisers
Develop strategy and action plans
With CEO, manage recruitment, training, and other staff issues
With CEO, support product development and technology, sign off methodology changes, model architecture, ESG rating publication decisions
You Will Need To Have
10+ years senior operational leadership in regulated financial services
Proven experience delivering world-class product to customers
Experience within ESG rating methodologies
Excellent oral and written communication skills at technical and general business level
Multi-tasking skills and ability to work well under pressureProven project management skills
Team player with high ethical standards
No disqualifications that would prevent successful ESMA screening
