We are seeking a Part 21 Electrical / Avionics Engineer to support the certification of large aircraft modifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, based in Dublin, Ireland, with occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the global engineering team to identify requirements for projects.
* Lead design activities to ensure compliance and address certification issues related to electrical/avionic systems.
* Lead certification activities, including on-wing test witnessing.
* Prepare and review engineering documentation for airworthiness and continued airworthiness, such as wiring diagrams, installation drawings, service bulletins, and manuals.
* Compile certification documents demonstrating compliance with electrical systems requirements, including load analysis, test plans, and safety assessments.
* Represent Boeing in customer meetings and provide on-site support during project execution.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Avionics or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum three years of relevant experience within an EASA Design Organization.
* Experience as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (advantageous).
Preferred Skills/Experience:
* Current or recent employment within an EASA Part 21J Design Organization.
* Knowledge of EASA, (E)TSO, CS-25, JAR-25, FAR-25 standards.
* Experience with aircraft interior and avionics modifications.
* Experience with large aircraft modification projects.
* Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively.
* Willingness to mentor less experienced staff.
