Junior Technical Author – Dundalk, Ireland
We're seeking a
Junior Technical Author
to join an innovative and fast-paced engineering environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality technical documentation that supports the testing, installation, and maintenance of advanced electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and maintain test documentation in both Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF formats for use with in-house engineering applications.
* Validate and request equipment service tags through the company's internal database.
* Generate Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documentation.
* Compile Operation & Maintenance Manuals and Training Manuals.
* Produce accurate and detailed technical reports.
* Collaborate closely with production and project management teams across Ireland and the UK.
* Assist in employee training and process improvement initiatives.
* Manage and update the internal product documentation library.
Requirements:
* Relevant third-level qualification (a background in electrical engineering or electrical trade is advantageous).
* 1–2 years' experience in an electrical manufacturing or engineering environment preferred (but not mandatory).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
* Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
* Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.
* A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
* Full driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland.
