Hobson Prior is seeking a Microbiology Laboratory Manager to oversee and guide the transition from research and development to full-scale commercial manufacturing at a pharmaceutical facility. This role focuses on leading microbiology operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving efficiency in quality control processes.

Responsibilities:
* Set up and manage microbiology testing processes and laboratory infrastructure.
* Lead the design and establishment of microbiology laboratories, including team management and resource allocation.
* Oversee updates to microbiological methods and specifications.
* Manage investigations related to microbiology and support technical transfers between sites.
* Coordinate external laboratory testing to align with internal quality standards.
* Collaborate with regulatory teams to ensure compliance with microbiology regulations.
* Work with various departments to maintain operational efficiency and compliance.
* Support leadership development within Quality Control and Analytical R&D teams.
* Expand inhalation microbiology capabilities in collaboration with global teams.
* Assist senior leadership in scaling quality control operations.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and resource use.
Key Skills and Requirements:
* A degree in Microbiology or a related field.
* Experience in laboratory environments with a focus on GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
* Strong knowledge of auditing and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and team leadership skills.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland.
