We are looking to recruit an experienced bartender to join our team and provide exceptional service to our guests. The successful candidate will have a passion for creating innovative cocktails and a strong knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer. As a bartender, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience at Trim Castle Hotel.Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guestsWelcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional mannerTake orders and prepare cocktails, mocktails, and other beverages in a timely and efficient mannerMaintain a clean and organised bar areaEnsure that all beverages are served at the correct temperature and in the appropriate glasswareRecommend and upsell beverages based on guests' preferences and the establishment's offeringsHandle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsiblyComply with all health and safety regulations and proceduresCollaborate with other staff members to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for guestsFamiliarise yourself with the menu and as much information about the food and beverage offering available in order to answer any questions guests may haveEnsure an efficient and safe delivery of all food and beverage orders in line with guest expectations ensuring an exceptional level of service is maintainedSet up, clear and promptly service tables after use to ensure that guests can be seated in a timely mannerEnsure the bar/restaurant areas are clean and well presented at all times and assist with cleaning and housekeeping duties as requiredDeal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times and ensure that any guest complaints and commentsare reported to managementEnsure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in line with agreed proceduresAssist in the set up and preparation, and provide service duties for functions as requiredAny other duties as directed by the Bar Manager or other member of the management teamRequirements for the role:Experience of working in a similar role within the hospitality industry would be a distinct advantageBasic Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable)Accurate and efficient cash handling skillsExcellent knowledge of spirits, wine, and beerStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectivelyFamiliarity with cash handling and POS systemsAvailability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
