We are seeking an experienced and skilled leader to fill the role of Assistant Director of Nursing.
Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Nursing will assist in overseeing the nursing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, compliance with regulations, and staff development. This individual must possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for enhancing patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, and overseeing nursing operations.
2. Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance and mentorship.
3. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations and policies.
4. Monitor patient care quality and implement improvement plans as needed.
5. Participate in staff hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
6. Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and administration to enhance patient care.
7. Address and resolve patient and family concerns effectively.
8. Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and best practices.
9. Oversee infection control and patient safety programs.
10. Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to patient care and nursing operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Valid NMBI registration and PIN
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
* Strong knowledge of nursing standards, healthcare regulations, and compliance requirements.
* Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
