Key Responsibilities:
* Support project engineering requirements by managing and liaising with key project stakeholders, including client design teams, main contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Review and interpret design and IFC specifications and drawings to develop a full understanding of the project scope.
* Contribute to the coordination process by working with BIM teams to convert design information into detailed installation drawings, ensuring specification compliance and alignment with project schedules.
* Maintain familiarity with the project programme and ensure engineering activities support construction timelines, including procurement planning.
* Prepare, submit, and manage technical submittals, including tracking approvals
* Engage with vendors to obtain technical support and identify value-engineering opportunities.
* Manage material procurement using Engineering Materials Reports (EMR), including material take-offs, identification of lead times, and field requirement schedules.
* Oversee equipment procurement and track deliveries to site.
* Ensure installation works comply with project specifications and quality assurance plans, including agreed benchmarking procedures.
* Conduct site audits to verify adherence to established processes and procedures.
* Prepare project completion criteria and manage close-out documentation.
* Assist in the preparation of subcontractor and supplier tender packages in collaboration with the project quantity surveyor.
* Develop, manage, and implement work packs through to handover.
* Manage BIM priorities, including isometric generation and release schedules.
* Liaise with clients and prepare technical and progress reports for senior management and relevant stakeholders.
* Schedule and coordinate meetings and training sessions as required
* Coordinate with client project management teams and contractors to ensure designs comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Provide ongoing technical support to construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years' experience working with a recognised mechanical contractor in process mechanical and pipework systems.
* Strong organisational and project planning skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
* Proficient in the use of Navisworks and engineering-related database systems.
* Experience with project planning software (including Primavera) and CAD/BIM processes.
* Proven ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise competing deadlines.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and time-management skills.
* Excellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
* Ability to motivate and support team members.
