OverviewThe post of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Pre-Assessment) is a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area. Professional Qualifications & Experience (i Are registered in the relevant Division of the Register of Nurses kept by An Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) or be entitled to be so registered And(ii Have at least 5 years post registration experience (or an aggregate of 5 years post registration full time experience) of which 2 post registration full time experience (or an aggregate of 2 years post registration full time experience) must be in the specialty area Pre-assessment/Preadmission or related areas of Theatre, Anaesthetics or Surgical nursing And(iii Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role And(iv Candidates must demonstrate evidence of Continuing Professional Development And(b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role. 2. Annual Registration(i) On appointment, Practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Board Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).
