We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Engineering to lead and oversee all engineering operations at our client's food production facility. Reporting to the senior leadership team, this role is critical in ensuring the engineering function runs efficiently, on time, and within budget while adhering to regulatory and quality standards. The successful candidate will drive safety, quality, delivery, productivity, compliance, and cost improvements to optimise site performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
2. Ensuring timely completion of engineering schedules.
3. Maintaining facility standards.
4. Overseeing capital investment projects to support business growth.
5. Focusing on quality assurance, compliance, and cost management.
The Head of Engineering will also play a crucial role in team leadership and development, fostering a high-performance culture that promotes open communication, collaboration, and employee well-being.
This role requires an experienced leader with a proven track record in food manufacturing, the ability to drive cost-saving initiatives, and expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Project Management. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills are essential to navigate the fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving key performance indicators, such as compliance with GMP, H&S, and Environmental standards, achieving budget targets, reducing downtime, and developing a high-performing engineering team.
