Social Care Worker Role
As a Social Care Worker, you'll play a vital role in delivering therapeutic, relationship-based care. You'll be part of a dedicated team providing high-quality, responsive support to young people, while helping shape the culture and direction of a new and dynamic service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
2. Provide daily care and support for personal development
3. Lead keyworking sessions linked to individual Care Plans
4. Advocate for each young person's voice, rights, and welfare
5. Promote school attendance, training, and medical engagement
6. Plan and participate in activities, outings, and routines
7. Liaise with families and professionals; attend planning meetings
8. Support daily household tasks, budgeting, and meal planning
9. Maintain high standards of documentation and compliance
10. Follow safeguarding procedures and act as a Mandated Person
11. Engage in regular training, supervision, and reflective practice
Salary: €37,500 – €41,000 (DOE)
Shifts: Day & 24-hour shifts, incl. weekends and bank holidays
What You Need
12. Level 7 qualification (or higher) in:Social Care Work (CORU-approved)Or a related field: Psychology, Youth & Community Work, Nursing, Teaching, etc.Or CORU registration with a non-relevant qualification
13. All applicants must be CORU registered or have their application submitted (evidence required)
14. Full, clean, manual driving licence valid in Ireland
15. Garda Vetting and reference checks
16. Excellent communication, teamwork, and care planning skills
17. Knowledge of HIQA National Standards
Social Care Leader Role
As a Social Care Leader, you will play a vital leadership role in the day-to-day running of the centre, supporting a team of social care professionals, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care. You'll act as a mentor and role model, lead shifts with confidence, and advocate fiercely for the welfare, dignity, and voice of each young person in your care.
You will work closely with the Deputy Manager and Service Manager to establish a culture of safety, inclusion, and therapeutic connection.
Key Responsibilities:
18. Lead and support your team in delivering trauma-informed care
19. Guide the development and implementation of individual Placement and Crisis Support Plans
20. Ensure high standards of documentation, record-keeping, and case management
21. Support and advocate for the emotional, social, and educational development of young people
22. Coordinate with families, external professionals, and agencies
23. Oversee daily routines, activities, appointments, and household tasks
24. Promote participation, independence, and rights-based decision making
25. Attend team meetings, training sessions, and care planning reviews
26. Act as a Mandated Person and uphold safeguarding responsibilities
27. Monitor and ensure compliance with HIQA National Standards
28. Uphold Eden's policies, values, and person-centred approach in all aspects of work
Salary: Full-Time - €42,000 – €46,000 (DOE)
Shifts: Day & 24-hour shifts, incl. weekends and bank holidays
What You Bring:
29. A Level 7 or higher qualification in Social Care or a CORU-eligible discipline
30. Or a current CORU registration as a Social Care Worker
31. All applicants must be CORU registered or have their application submitted (evidence required)
32. Minimum 2 years' experience working in a social care role with children/young people
33. Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
34. A full, clean, manual Irish driving licence
35. In-depth knowledge of child protection, therapeutic care, and HIQA standards
36. Passion for cultural sensitivity, diversity, and inclusion
