Production Operative Role
This position involves working as part of a team responsible for assembling entire products or components of products. Tasks will vary based on business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Adhere to the weekly production schedule, building order quantities stated on the production Works Order for each production build, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled and stocking levels of finished goods are managed in a cost-effective manner.
• Communicate effectively with area supervisors and other personnel in the production department, resolving issues on a day-to-day basis and ensuring the area is manned appropriately.
• Maintain a clean working environment on the production floor, participating in lean/5S initiatives.
• Comply with company standard operating procedures and policies for the production area and quality systems within the area.
• Produce products in compliance with quality systems and BOM.
• Follow health and safety requirements within the production department, liaising with the health and safety representative or area supervisor regarding concerns or issues that may lead to potential health and safety issues within the area. Participate in formulating risk assessments and SOPs when required.
• Adapt to meet levels required within all areas of the production training profiles, being flexible and willing to take part in job rotation within the department. Provide support and guidance to new staff when needed.
• Attend all relevant communication meetings within the company to ensure awareness of issues within the production area and the business as a whole.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of production activities, machine problems, and quality concerns to the production supervisor.
• Use tools and equipment responsibly and appropriately.
• Work as part of an assembly line team, performing repetitive tasks without errors.
• Possess strong hand-eye coordination and be able to operate various assembly tools.
• Assemble units correctly, minimizing time, material, and wastage.
• Be flexible to work in other departments or roles as customer demand requires. Perform other duties assigned

EHS Considerations:
The role involves tasks such as riveting, wheel pressing, assembly (manual and using power drives), nuttling operations, product packing, tapping operations, and rubber cutting operations. Minimal lifting/manual handling activities are undertaken within individual's limits/capabilities. Lifting equipment is provided, and staff are trained on manual handling techniques at regular intervals. Adequate lighting and appropriate seating/bench setup ensure good ergonomics, with footrests available
