HR Support Specialist Role
About the Job:
This HR support specialist position involves providing key assistance to the human resources team. The role is pivotal in helping with various tasks, including recruitment, absence management, performance management, employee relations, and engagement activities.
Responsibilities:
* Manage employee absences, arrange welfare support, and ensure return-to-work procedures are followed.
* Help with recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and legal work eligibility checks; attend careers events.
* Organise employee engagement activities, forums, and internal communications.
* Support investigations, grievances, probation reviews, and performance discussions.
* Give HR advice and answer employee questions.
* Maintain accurate employee records, trackers, and reports.
* Assist with health and safety administration and HR projects.
* Manage employee lifecycle tasks, including induction, system enrolment, and exit processes.
Requirements:
* A minimum of one year of proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
* Strong experience in managing employee absences and conducting investigations.
* Good knowledge of employment law and practical experience applying it in the workplace.
* Excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
* Proficient in MS Office and HR systems.
