About BigLook
BigLook is a commercialisation project at Trinity College Dublin, embedded within the ADAPT Centre. The project is focused on developing a "System of Work" for the global art market, orchestrated by a sophisticated multi-agent system. The Biglook platform features a suite of autonomous AI agents that leverage our foundational, domain-specific Large Multimodal Model (LMM) to reason, plan, and execute complex workflows across the art ecosystem. This agent-first approach translates cutting-edge research in generative AI and reinforcement learning into practical tools that automate tasks ranging from market analysis and client communications to inventory management. Collaborating closely with art historians, galleries, and collectors, we are building robust, production-grade agentic systems that deliver actionable intelligence and operational efficiency.
About the Role
The Full Stack Developer will be a core contributor to our pioneering multi-agent platform with the 'human in the loop' interface.
You will have an MSc and 3+ years of commercial experience in full-stack development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in frontend frameworks like React,, or, along with proficiency in backend technologies such as, Django, or Python. A solid understanding of API design (RESTful & GraphQL) is essential to facilitate efficient data flow. You should also have experience with database management (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL) and be familiar with DevOps practices (Docker, CI/CD, cloud deployment).
These skills will enable you to be responsible for building and optimizing the UI and backend architecture for the 'human in the loop' interface, which will be used by art dealers to review outputs of autonomous upstream agents.
This role will bring opportunities to implement sophisticated autonomous agents that can reason, plan, and execute complex tasks across the art market ecosystem using agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen). This will involve implementing advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, leveraging vector and graph databases to ensure agents have access to rich, context-aware information. This role combines research in agentic AI with hands-on full stack development to build a robust, scalable, and intelligent system that will redefine art market operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Building and optimizing the UI and backend architecture for the 'human in the loop' tool used by art dealers
* Ensure seamless UI/UX implementation using Figma, design systems, and universal design principles, while maintaining a scalable and performant backend
* Integrate External Services: Work extensively with third-party APIs (e.g., social media platforms, CRM systems, inventory management tools) to provide agents with the tools and data needed to perform their functions.
* Develop Specialized AI Agents: Build, test, and deploy autonomous agents for specialized tasks such as client profiling, personalized marketing, inventory analysis, and automated sales outreach.
* Implement Advanced RAG Pipelines: Engineer sophisticated Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems using vector and graph databases to provide agents with real-time, contextually relevant information from diverse data sources.
* Research and Prototype: Actively research and prototype with emerging agentic AI concepts, including hierarchical agent structures, self-correcting learning loops, and novel planning algorithms to continuously advance our platform's capabilities.
* Collaborate and Deploy: Work closely with product and research teams to translate complex AI capabilities into practical, user-friendly features, and participate in the full MLOps lifecycle from development to deployment.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
* Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
* Full-stack experience (Front-End, Python,, React, PostgreSQL, UX/UI)
* Strong programming skills in Python and significant experience with backend development.
* Proficiency in building and integrating with RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced startup environment.
All applicants should have a valid work permit or legal right to work in Ireland.
