Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and in full compliance with UK and international trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with full customs declaration process, ensuring timely and accurate filings
* Organise collection of goods and any associated trade compliance paperwork
* Work closely with warehousing and logistics, providing assistance as required
* Ensure accurate classification of goods, tariff codes, and compliance with customs procedures
* Stay up-to-date with the latest changes in trade regulations, tariffs, and compliance guidelines and advise management of any risks and best practices
* Maintain a thorough record of all trade documents and declarations
* Perform administrative duties as required by senior management to assist other team members during busy periods
Requirements
Previous experience in trade compliance, customs declarations, or a similar role is preferable but not essential. Training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have:
* A high level of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
* The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* The ability to work without supervision
* Strong communication both verbal and written
* Good interpersonal skills
* A proactive attitude with the ability to solve problems independently
* Proficiency in word, excel, and data management along with relevant qualifications
