QC Chemist
Our client in Cork is seeking an experienced QC Chemist to join our analytical team on a 12-month contract. This role supports the QC laboratory in the execution of analytical testing to ensure products meet specification and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using HPLC, UPLC, and GC in a GMP-regulated environment.
* Prepare, review, and approve laboratory documentation including test methods, protocols, and reports.
* Ensure all testing is conducted in line with cGMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
* Participate in OOS/OOT investigations, deviation reports, and CAPAs as needed.
* Support method development, validation, and equipment qualification activities where required.
* Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration and preventive maintenance schedules are adhered to.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, manufacturing, and validation.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a QC laboratory environment in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry
* Proven experience using HPLC, UPLC, and GC instrumentation and associated software (e.g., Empower)
* Strong knowledge of GMP and regulatory standards (FDA, EMA, ICH)
* Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and organizational skills
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
