Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our project execution team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all civil engineering aspects of projects, including technical and constructability reviews of designs, ensuring onsite adherence to design drawings, and monitoring subcontractors H&S, programme and commercial milestones.
You will ensure that the design is consistent with the Engineering, Procurement, & Construction (EPC) contract requirements and offering. Additionally, you will identify design issues on site and communicate them to the Design Team along with possible solutions.
Key responsibilities include communicating any delays to the Project Manager, including detailed programme impacts. You will also review subcontractor H&S and environmental documentation, lead and participate in onsite Health, Safety and Environmental audits, perform accuracy and compliance checks on elements of subcontractors works as required, and assist the Project Management Group to support the execution of the project.
Furthermore, you will understand TMP's and carry out daily checks for compliance. Prepare regular progress reports on quality, H&S and Environmental milestones, and provide input regarding power plant proposals' civil requirements, including detailed technical evaluation, and developing detailed supporting documentation of supplier quotes and cost optimization derivations.
Negotiate with suppliers on technical aspects of equipment Monitor all CSA related resources and activities on site, assist the commercial team with evaluating work scope completion and payment claims, provide direction, coaching, and mentoring to entry-level engineers and field civil associates while driving accountability.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
* Advanced knowledge of design and visualisations software such as Auto CAD
* Excellent MS Office skills
* Managing Safely - or equivalent qualification
