Job Specification: Duty Manager Location: Moxy Dublin Docklands, East Wharf, Dublin 3 Reports To: General Manager / Operations Manager Main Purpose of the Role The Duty Manager is a dynamic, hands-on leader responsible for overseeing daily hotel operations across departments, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining brand standards. This role is pivotal in coordinating cross-functional teams, resolving operational issues, and driving service excellence in line with Moxys bold and playful identity. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Front Office Oversight Lead the front desk and lobby operations, ensuring smooth check-in/out and guest interactions. Respond to guest feedback and complaints with energy and professionalism. Ensure Marriott Bonvoy members are recognised and receive tier-appropriate benefits. Operational Coordination Act as the central point of contact for all departments during assigned shifts. Conduct daily fire walks and safety checks. Monitor occupancy, arrivals, and departures, ensuring readiness across teams. Oversee handovers and ensure follow-ups are tracked and completed. Crisis & Incident Management Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents and security concerns. Coordinate with external services (e.g. police, medical teams) when required. Have keen knowledge of internal procedures. Leadership & Team Support Mentor and support team members across departments. Ensure adequate staffing and shift coverage. Promote a culture of service excellence and brand pride. Compliance & Brand Standards Uphold Moxy and Marriott brand standards in service, presentation, and guest interaction. Ensure health, safety, and hygiene procedures are followed. Support training initiatives and SOP implementation. Ideal Candidate Profile 2+ years experience in hotel operations or supervisory roles. Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and multitasking abilities. Familiarity with hotel systems (PMS, POS) and Microsoft Office. Energetic, guest-focused, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment. Previous experience within the Marriott Portfolio is a plus.
