The Role
Reporting to the Head of Sourcing, the Sourcing Manager will join our central Sourcing team to procure products for our Own Brand (OB)/Private Label (PL) ranges.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and deliver lowest‑cost solutions for Musgrave OB/Tertiary products across retail and wholesale.
Develop and deliver the annual sourcing plan (calendar, timelines, tender format, strategyänden) for your categories to achieve the lowest cost on time with the required quality.
Manage the tendering, negotiation and contracting of OB/Tertiary products with the right suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times and contract terms to optimise cost and ensure supply continuity.
Lead or support commercial projects and explorations as they arise.
Promote simplification by continuously challenging current ways of working to develop a simpler, faster, better business.
Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
Act as a sourcing subject‑matter expert for your categories.
Analyse market intelligence and supplier/competitor trends to optimise sourcing.
Build the annual savings budget and provide business updates monthly, quarterly and annually versus budget.
Ensure compliance with Musgrave policies and procedures.
Travel to production facilities and buying‑group meetings as required (≈ 5‑10 %).
Qualifications & Experience
Business‑focused third‑level qualification.
Minimum of 3 years Sourcing/Procurement experience.
Knowledge and/or experience of food manufacturing, local and international.
Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement.
Strong project management and leadership skills.
Presentation and change‑management skills.
Attention to detail, prioritisation and data‑analytical ability.
Ability to work in/lead cross‑divisional and cross‑functional teams.
Experience in planning, strategic sourcing, negotiating, contracting and supplier management.
Experience managing and delivering large complex projects.
Proven ability to engage stakeholders to deliver KPIs.
Positive mindset with a can‑do attitude.
FMCG experience.
