CREGG is currently looking for an MES Engineer in Dublin on a contractual basis.
The Manufacturing IT Engineer (MES) has the technical responsibility for the support and preventative maintenance of Manufacturing IT systems, primarily MES clients, printers, scanners and other hardware.
As a contract, the position offers excellent rates and the opportunity for a long-term placement.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide real-time front-line support to the production group on their manufacturing IT systems.
Periodically applying approved patches using centralised patch management tools.
System Readiness Testing of production systems prior to handback for commercial manufacturing.
Periodic refresh of MES clients, printers, scanners, and other hardware as part of the preventative maintenance of these systems.
Reporting of progress to system owners and the wider IS team.
Regularly liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective communication on outages.
Adherence to GXP procedures on site in relation to all aspects of the position.
A Valid EU work permit
Skills and Education
Third level qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or Equivalent.
Min 2 years’ experience working with automation or IT systems, preferably in the Life Sciences/ Pharma sector.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems such as Werum PAS-X, Zebra Printers, Barcode scanners etc an advantage.
Experience in managing system IT infrastructure is also an advantage.
