Corporate Development Manager Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and strategically minded individual to play a significant role in delivering RIAM's bold vision.
About the Role
The Corporate Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing priority projects requiring philanthropic and corporate sponsorship support. This will involve identifying, cultivating, and securing donations from a range of sources with a particular emphasis on growing corporate support and partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising and business development, with experience of working in music, music education, or the arts. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at senior management and board level.
The role will also involve supporting the Head of Development in raising transformative levels of funding from a range of sources, including major donors and foundations, to support RIAM's strategic ambition to become a National Conservatoire of Global Consequence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning: Work closely with the Head of Development to develop and implement priority projects for RIAM requiring philanthropic and corporate sponsorship support.
2. Fundraising: Identify, cultivate, and secure donations from a range of sources with a particular emphasis on growing corporate support and partnerships.
3. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain excellent business relationships with existing corporate partners, including proposals and contracts, partnership benefits, concerts and events, reports and impact management.
4. Team Support: Work closely with the Head of Development and other members of the team to deliver RIAM's new highly ambitious Development and Fundraising Plan, supporting the next organisational strategy.
5. Data Management: Maintain accurate data on supporters, prospects, donors, and partners to ensure effective prospecting, cultivating, and stewarding across all income streams.
Requirements
* A third-level qualification in a relevant discipline and/or professional qualification with a minimum of five years' experience
* Experience of working in music, music education, or the arts, preferably in a fundraising or business development capacity
* Proven track record in fundraising and business development, with experience of working with US donors and engagement with the Ireland Funds
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at senior management and board level
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with excellent presentation skills
